About Me

My name is Caitlyn Jensen. I was born in Nashville, Tennessee, at home in an apartment. I stayed in Nashville only three weeks, however, as my family and I soon moved to Michigan where I was raised until I was eight years old. Just before we moved from Michigan, I was beginning to have an interest in learning how to play the guitar, so my Mom and my Brother, Ben, began to teach me as guitars were always in the house.  Ben played his own music and his guitar frequently. While in Michigan, I started praying for a horse.

Later, my Dad’s job moved us all to Charlotte, North Carolina, where I continued praying for a horse of my own. I loved horses! I continued practicing guitar on my little nylon-string, “Mexican” guitar while my Brother and my Mom continued to teach me what they knew at the time. When I was eleven years old, God answered my prayers and someone gave me a horse of my own, for free! Such an answered prayer – and many, many others which were amazingly specific – seemed to launch me into my prayer life and my continued trust in God and Jesus Christ to meet my needs, whatever they may be.

School-wise, I was homeschooled most of my life, except for public Montessori school when I was three, some public kindergarten, and grades 2 through 4 of public elementary school in Michigan. I began taking college courses when I was homeschooling and in the 10th grade, and graduated with my Associate’s in Arts Degree May of 2010.

Right now I am earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Translation at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My main passion is reaching the world for Christ. Thus, I have participated in several mission trips, and plan on using my degree and training for mission work.

There is no greater joy than knowing Jesus Christ – I desire less of me and more of Him in my life.
